Coach Buzz - Founder/OwnerCoach Buzz Busby was born with a passion to play sports and compete. He played baseball, football, basketball, and ran track. He was a successful athlete who went on to play some college and semi pro football. Busby’s success is not what made him want to coach and train young athletes. It was his struggles, disappointments, hard times, and three knee surgeries before age 20 that made him want to dedicate his life to working with young athletes. He started studying human anatomy in high school and became determined to find a better way than orthopedics giving surgeries, prescribing painkillers, physical therapists rushing through appointments, and young athletes being told that they can't perform anymore. He decided to devote his life to training others, stressing injury prevention exercises, strict form, biomechanics and solid rehabilitation methods.
Coach Busby began his career as a Strength/Speed/Agility Coach at Blitz Sports working for former NFL cornerback Rashid Gayle. In 2014, Busby increased his knowledge of pain management skills when he while completing an internship with Functional Patterns in San Diego, California. The internship gave him the opportunity to work with Master Integrated Movement Practitioners on a daily basis that taught him Myofascial Release techniques and Chinese Cupping methods. The "Get Your Fascia Right" class and private MFR sessions have been very successful helping athletes with their recovery. Athletes that have worked with Coach Busby make tremendous improvements in speed, strength, explosiveness, and endurance. The physical aspect and the improved self confidence helps his athletes become more successful on the field and court. Coach Busby believes the most important part of his training is that the athletes learn the value of hard work, dedication, character, accountability, perseverance and how these factors apply to life as well. |
